Clip N Climb is a busy local attraction for kids and adults alike. It provides a fun activity of climbing brightly adorned walls of different skills levels. The company has many attractions around the country and their paramount concern is that they provide a safe area for people to come and have a great experience.
Universal Fire And Security Ltd were engaged to provide a closed circuit camera system to would assist the staff to keep the climb areas safe whilst in use. There could be many people climbing and even with plenty of staff present you cannot have your eyes in all places at once.
First we undertook a consultation with the management team, walking the area and discussing what they needed to see. It was important at that stage to manage customers expectations and be very clear about what they can achieve. It’s important to remember that humans have by far and away the best CCTV available in their heads. The human eye can flick from looking long distance straight to short distance and auto focus literally in the blink of an eye. Closed Circuit Television cameras can’t readily do that, they can’t think for themselves.
Once the design was discussed, a plan was provided for siting the cameras and what they would likely see. This plan was passed to the engineer so that implementation of the system met the aspirations of the client.
High resolution 4MP Hikvision Domes were installed back to a recorder within the Management Office. Not only does the CCTV provide an excellent safety platform for the client, they can use the footage for training discussions.
